Ozymandias

Description

I haven't done any comics in months, partially because I've been working on a film project, which has turned out to be pretty much an utter failure.
In my frustration over what I felt to be my creative ineptitude, I was reminded of "Ozymandias", and its story of ambitions of the proud being crushed by time.
Ironically (and this poem's all about irony, isn't it?), working on this made me feel a lot better about myself, as I'm more or less satisfied with the results.
The last panel was done in Flash MX (which my mom just bought me), while the rest was in Flash 5.
The "visage" and its surroundings are vaguely based on The Ramesseum, though altered dramatically to reflect the description in the poem.

FUN FACT: Contrary to what the poem suggests, Ramses II (whose royal title "User-maat-re Setep-en-re" was translated into Greek as "Ozymandias") made a huge impression on Egyptian society, and in modern times was one of the best-known Pharoahs before the Rosetta Stone was found. He's probably the guy who wouldn't Moses' people go, incidentally.
