Churchyard with branch

A churchyard in the town the Bronte sisters were from. They buried people in these weird table-like sarcophagi (sp?) which happened to slow their rate of decomposition. Their bodies then leaked into the ground water and by the Victorian era had made the local lifespans about 10 years shorter than in neighboring communities.
